DJ BIG CHRIS

Wasup yall it's ya boy DJ Big Chris coming straight out of Connecticut, born in Jamaica, Queens, New York. I got into the DJ business in 2005 my freshmen year at Briarwood College in Southington, CT. I always had a passion for music, because it's all I ever listened to growing up, especially being around my uncles who always listened to James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and all the great legends.Being a musician  at Christain Community Outreach Church, I was a drum player and now a piano player. The more I developed inherited music, the more I loved it. When I started college, there was always parties, but the music wouldn't be played in good rotation like you hear with On-Air DJ's. So what I would do is bring up my CD cases, and use a laptop and hook it up through a sterio system to play the music, usally all my music was coming out of mixtapes by all hottest DJ's out today. Looking at people dancing, having good time with good rotational music, made me realize I have an extra talent that I can share among others. Therefore I strated making Big Chris Mixtapes, which really started the beginning of DJ Big Chris. When becoming a DJ, comes big responsiblity as far as getting your name known in your school and your local area. Doing me is what I had to do to get my name known, passing out flyers and giving my numbers out to all kinds of people that would need a DJ for anything. As time went by and money flowing through, I found in myself a need to be more productive in the Music World. My brother Roland "Big Ro" Mathews (CEO/Owner of ADHD Entertainment) help me to understand how to hold myself with the Music World, and how many challenges it brings to upcoming DJ and Artist! Networking had to become a must in the Music World. But, down the road I found my self a new friend/brother that also helped me through my progress Dwayne "Lord Raven" Williamson (CEO/Owner of Blackbird Entertainment) who is from MIAMI and a producer helped me how to produce products to be more professional about myself, and giving great words of encouragement. Now with the colaboration of ADHD/Blackbird Entertainment now was called "THE CORE CLICK" and me being the head DJ for the group gave me a way to let people know that I'm coming out! Transfering to another college Delaware State University my DJ reputation has expanded from Connecticut to Delaware. At DSU I was the Production Director of WDSU Radio "The Hive" making all types of commercials, jingles drops, liners just to get my name known. It worked out great, and doing business DJ Crazy T (CEO of NU Way Entertainment) who reputation was on fire at DSU and in the city of Dover which gave me privileges of doing parties and school events to get my name out. Now being in the DJ game for almost 10 years now my knowledge of music have improved and my hands behind the 1s & 2s, but I still have more room for improvement ....................
